Does our food meet Health Department Requirements?
- Our food is cooked in an approved registered kitchen, complying with all Health Department requirements.
Who can purchase meals from us?
- Home recipients - whether elderly, unwell, going on holidays, or just wanting a quick kosher meal.
- Patients in hospital - we cater to most major hospitals in Melbourne. You may continue to order our meals when you go home.
Do I need to have an account?
- While it isn't mandatory to have an account, it will make order easier for you, especially if you want to repeat an order at another time.
- To create an account, click on My Account on the top menu, and then click on Continue under the label New Customer.
How do I order?
- Online - follow the instructions in FAQ item 5 below.
- Phone - ring through your order on (03) 9527-5525.
- Fax - send a fax to (03) 9527-4844.
How do I order using your online system?
- Click on Menu on the top toolbar to review the range of meals available. Notice that there three categories of meals. You may like to order a soup, main course, and dessert, or only one of them.
- Review the list of ingredients and the nutritional information of a meal by clicking on a Category on the left of the screen, e.g. Soups. On the next screen, click on a picture of the soup that you're interested in.
- Click on Add To Cart to include a soup in your order. Alternatively, type a number in the Qty field before clicking on Add To Cart to order multiples of the same type of soup.
- If you would like to add other items to your order, click on the relevant Category and repeat the ordering steps.
- Finally, submit your order by clicking on the Checkout button on the left of the screen. You'll be prompted for payment and delivery instructions on the following screens.
How will I receive the meal?
- Depending on your circumstances, meals can be:
  - Delivered to your home by one of our volunteers.
  - Picked up from our distribution centre at 572 Inkerman Street, Caulfield North.
  - Ordered in several hospitals and provided by their catering staff at the regular meal times.
Who prepares and packages the meals?
- Our food is prepared and packaged by well-known Melbourne caterers Unger Catering.
Who provides Kosher supervision for our meals?
- Kosher Australia: Tel: 1300 567 437.
How do I pay for meals?
- Pay online when you order the meal using PayPal.
- Pay when the food is delivered to your home.
- Pay when you pick up the food from our distribution centre.
- Open an account and receive an invoice - please discuss this option with the office.
